Thought I'd start a blog today, seemed like a good idea when I got up and saw that I had a free day. It doesn't happen very often so I thought I had better make the most of it and get some jobs done that had been building up for a while.
First off, bath the cat! Yes you heard right...bath the cat. We have a Sphynx (hairless cat) named Audrey and she needs to be bathed once a week.
Now you would think that a cat that has to be bathed weekly for all 18 or so years of it's life would enjoy this experience, noo...not Audrey. As if it's not bad enough her not having any hair to grip on to, she is extremely slippery when suds up, and becomes a bit like an eel trying to escape a fisherman.
As per the instructions, you gently rub coconut oil into their delicate little bodies, making sure to get into all their little creases, inbetween their ears and inbetween each of their toes...REALLY? Who writes these instructions, not somebody who owns a Sphynx!
On getting slathered (is that a word?) in coconut oil, Audrey decides to do a pirouette into the air sending the brand new jar of Organic coconut oil into the air, coating the benches, my purse, and Chynna (our hairless dog!!) in the slippery substance.
As you can see from her purring photo above she's quite happy with herself, and I might add as soft as a babies bottom.
Anyway onwards and upwards, this is my day to get some things done and next on the list...update my sugar/fat board for my weight loss clients.
I bought a big bag of white sugar, a block of lard and some zip lock bags to make up this board the other day, I get all ready, I'm weighing out my sugar and fat, gluing the bags onto my board and things are going really well, I finally feel I am getting somewhere and I'm imagining how impressed my clients are going to be at all of this useful information.
No cat is going to ruin my day...
